Allah sent many wonderful prophets, and Muslims love and respect every one of them. In this lesson we meet Mūsā (as), ʿīsā (as) and Yūsuf (as), and learn the beautiful lessons their stories hold.
Mūsā (as) — brave and trusting
Mūsā (as) was sent by Allah to a powerful and cruel ruler to speak up for what is right. It was frightening, but Mūsā (as) trusted Allah and was brave. Allah helped him and saved his people. From Mūsā (as) we learn courage — doing the right thing even when we feel afraid.
ʿīsā (as) — gentle and kind
ʿīsā (as) was a very special prophet who could do amazing things by Allah's permission, like healing people who were unwell. He was gentle, honest and full of care for others, and he taught people to worship Allah alone. From ʿīsā (as) we learn kindness and truthfulness.
Yūsuf (as) — honest and forgiving
Yūsuf (as) was treated unkindly by his own brothers, yet he stayed honest and patient through hard times. Years later, when he became strong and important, his brothers came to him — and Yūsuf (as) forgave them with a kind heart. From Yūsuf (as) we learn honesty and forgiveness.
Put Yūsuf's (as) own story in order:
- His brothers treat him unkindly
- He stays honest and patient through hard times
- He becomes strong and important
- He forgives his brothers with a kind heart
