Sasta Basta
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
Who this applies to
This policy covers the Sasta Basta application (the "App") on the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play. The App is an educational learning tool intended for children from Year 6 to GCSE, used with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher.
What we collect
The App collects nothing on our servers. It has no backend account system and sends no personal data to us or to any third party. We do not collect names, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage analytics. The single exception is the optional newsletter below: if — and only if — a parent ticks the newsletter box, their email address is used to subscribe them. Nothing else ever leaves the device.
Information stored on your device
To make the App work, the following is saved locally on your device only (in the browser/app local storage) and never leaves it unless you choose to share it:
- A first name or nickname — used only to greet the learner.
- An optional parent/guardian email — used only to pre-fill a progress report you choose to send from your own email app. We never receive or store this address.
- Learning progress — which chapters have been practised or passed, and scores, so the App can show progress and resume where you left off.
- Your chosen theme.
This data stays on the device. Removing the App, clearing site data, or using the in-App "Reset all progress" option deletes it.
Progress report emails
The App can prepare a weekly progress report. When you tap to send it, the App opens your device's own email app with the report pre-filled — a parent or guardian then chooses whether to send it, and to whom. The report is never transmitted to us or any server, and it is generated only from the on-device progress data above.
The AI tutor
The built-in "Ask Triomatic AI" tutor runs entirely on your device. It answers from the App's own learning content and simple calculations. No questions, messages, or data are sent to us or to any external AI service.
Optional newsletter
A parent or guardian may choose to subscribe to our homeschooling newsletter. This is entirely optional and is never ticked by default. If a parent opts in, their email address is passed to our newsletter provider MailerLite (MailerLite, UAB — see mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy) solely to send the newsletter; the subscription is confirmed on MailerLite's own page (double opt-in). This is separate from the App's on-device data, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter. We do not subscribe children, and we do not use newsletter sign-ups for any other purpose.
Subscriptions (App Store & Google Play versions)
The paid App is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial. When a parent starts a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, Inc. (see revenuecat.com/privacy). To manage the subscription, RevenueCat receives a record of the purchase and an anonymous subscription identifier. This is used only to keep the subscription active across the family's devices and to restore purchases — it is not used for advertising, is not sold, and does not identify your child. No learning data, names, or emails are sent to RevenueCat, Apple, or Google. This section applies only to the App Store and Google Play versions; the web version has no subscription and collects nothing.
No advertising or tracking
The App contains no advertisements, no third-party advertising SDKs, no analytics, no cookies for tracking, and no social-media trackers.
Children's privacy
The App is designed for children and is built to comply with children's privacy laws including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK GDPR / UK Age Appropriate Design Code. Because we collect no personal data, we do not knowingly hold any personal information about children. Adult-facing actions (such as sending a report or editing the saved email) are placed behind a parental gate.
Your choices and rights
- You can edit or clear the saved name and email at any time from the App.
- You can reset all progress from the "My Progress" screen.
- Uninstalling the App or clearing its data removes everything stored locally.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and publish the new version here.
